What a battle! I thought our Web site was going to explode with this month's Country Line CD Listeners Poll's votes coming in faster than greased lightning. It was a close one, but the last one standing this month was the incredibly talented, stunningly beautiful future superstar, Brittany Wells.

Talent is one thing. Determination is something else. Country newcomer Brittany Wells has both. As a former Miss Teen Texas, as well as having received a national ranking by the USTA (United States Tennis Association) for her skills in tennis, Wells learned at a very young age that she could do anything when she set her mind to it. And she's still doing it. However, this time, she's traded in her crown and tennis racket for a microphone and her first independently released CD.

While Brittany Wells is just starting out in country music, she seems to be destined for great things. Sure, shes not on a major label in Nashville but neither was teenager Blaine Larsen when he released his CD early this year (hes now with BNA). What Im saying is that sometimes, the best start out with a few believers and after some success; theyre soon being hailed as the next big thing. I think Brittany Wells can certainly be a star in Country music.

This week's Future Top Track is from Brittany Wells. Born in England to parents Andrea and Captain John Wellsfry, a U.S. Air Force Fighter pilot, firstborn Brittany was named in honor of her place of birth. Brittany's early experiences were of the world abroad. Upon completion of his tour of duty, John Wellsfry returned his young family to their roots in Wichita Falls, Texas, where Brittany spent her formative years.
